JUST PLANET INTERNSHIPS
Just Planet Research Interns may volunteer full or part-time during the school year and/or during academic breaks, and may receive academic or work credit from their academic or professional institutions. Such credit may be negotiated and agreed upon in consultation with the intern’s academic or professional institutions. Just Planet research internships are unpaid.
Responsibilities of an intern may include researching and writing about international human rights and international criminal law topics and related policy issues, conducting in-depth research, drafting documents, monitoring human rights developments in various countries, analyzing data, assisting with policy analysis and project goals, helping with the production of Just Planet publications, including articles, blogs, submissions to human rights’ bodies or Special Rapporteurs, and building on coalition work with Just Planet partners, if needed. The intern and their work will be closely supervised by Just Planet Board Members and, if appropriate, by Just Planet’s partners.
Successful interns will possess excellent analytical, legal research, and writing skills, strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a demonstrated dedication to public international law and human rights for all.

Aishwarya Birla
Aishwarya is a student at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, India. She has always had an inclination to work in the field of child rights, especially towards education and refugee rights and hopes to be able to make a difference. As the 2019 Research Intern at Just Planet, Aishwarya will focus on children's rights in relation to climate change.
